Confusion about Compost bean

Hello everyone, hope you are well.

I built a compost bin which have 11 Q. I threw some 712 Q carrots inside it. So I should get (11+712)/2 = 361.5 Q mulch. But what I got is 352 Q mulch. I don't know why this happened. Can anyone please give some explanation?

Compost bin could be q10.9x (that is rounded up to 11 for display).

But that does not explain the huge difference. Even if the bin (sorry for the spelling mistake earlier) were 1 Q then the mulch would have (1 + 712)/2 = 356.5 Q.

Probably some low Q item from your inventory got into the bin. It could be some food, forage, crop, animal part.
Or - if you had bought that bin - maybe it wasn't empty

I'm thinking this is the most likely explanation. Otherwise the math just doens't add up.

The problem is I am a 'moron'! I should have known. Yes, it was not empty. I tried using a fresh batch and it works as it should. Probably few units of material were there from the beginning. Or some low quality materials could be added accidentally. My bad.
