Village planning tools?

Postby Smokeage » Sat Jan 26, 2019 9:19 am

I saw a couple threads talking about this but it looks like the programs no longer work. Just curious what other people are using to map out villages prior to building them.

I've messed around with a few different ideas and they've been kind of a pain in the ass and don't provide nearly the detail that I would like to have.

You can use paint.net and zoom in a lot and then there are free squares, but no ruler.

In past I have used spreadsheet software with small, square cell size. Then I will merge cells and color/label them based on which things will be placed here.

I use simple windows paint, it is enough and is easy to use.
You can use this one i made, it is a square grid, you can make it bigger by copy/pasting it over and over again.

The darker lines are markers for 10 squares, each square is one tile in game.
