Help solve the problem with the launch of the game

Postby llgromll » Mon Jan 28, 2019 5:34 pm

Hello! Help me out, I want to start playing HiH again, but I ran into an interesting problem a few months ago I played the GT440 on a green card, but it was green, but I recently stuck R9270 into my computer and decided to enter the game and 22 FPS met me in the house, 25 in the basement and 13-20 in the street .. I don’t understand something, but what the hell? !! with the GT 440 card there were 30-50 fps on the Amber client, and here it would seem better to map the map many times and put new firewood, Java is also updated, and the FPS is as if you are launching HiH at all .. who faced it? What kind of nonsense is this?)))

Maybe you have integrated graphics card in your CPU that it is using.

Integrated graphics is, at least according to quick forum search, a laptop issue. You could still try disabling any integrated devices through Control Panel if there is any. Problem could also be that Haven uses OpenGL which is less of an priority when drivers are being optimized.

ATI doesn't have this problem, only Nvidia. (And why they have that problem, I don't know.)

Graphics optimizations is one of the developer's long term goals. It's a slow process, but be assured that others are having the same issues. You should be getting 100+ anywhere with the calculations the game does, but my suspicions are that the GPU isn't being utilized correctly, and things are defaulting to the CPU. This causes a massive slowdown. Some of the newer Nvidia cards are having the same issues.
