Returning player after two years. What did I miss?

Postby Psilocybin » Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:33 pm

For some reason I decided I wanted to jump back into H&H. I pulled up the website and tried logging 7ish different alt accounts before finally remembering the username for my previous main. Im glad too because if you havent reaped the benefits of a verified account then you are missing out. Unfortunately, due to work/family matters, gaming in general had to take a backseat and I had to leave my small 100x100 plot behind.

The excitement I felt when I saw that I picked the perfect time to jump back in with a juicy world reset is indescribable. I'm not gonna lie, I am intimidated to jump back in, but that will not deter me on this day. I have a shit ton of patches to trench through to be up to date on the state of H&H.

Can someone give me the TL;DR of major gameplay changes. I understand the basic mechanics of the game other than combat. Not a biggie for me as I was always a hermit player that enjoyed the simple life. Maybe I'll sit down and learn to fight instead of surrending my life to early game PKs. Other than content like new items, mobs, and gear, what should I study up on to ensure I am on equal footing when W11 goes live. Are there any game changing additions I should be aware of such as new stats or changes to the early game ability tree? Once I get the initial scraps of a starter base down I'm fine with scouring the wiki, but as the W11 reset starts today, time is of the essence during this feral free for all as we rush to claim decent resource locations.

Edit: Here's a link someone posted. I personally found it helpful as a good resource to compare the changes between W10 and W11. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=61085 ''

Here's Jorbs W11 rundown.

There has been so much content added since I left. HOLY SHIT JORB AND LOFTAR. :)

:!: One big thing to note is that warping to your hearth fire adds 5% TW is back. I personally like this change as it makes you having to decide between doing chores at home or running off on an adventure. Ah, W7 legacy, I died to leeches in a swamp my first day ever playing this game. ¦]

Welcome back mate.
There is a topic on forum about changes in w10, look for it. Then read changelog for w11.

You have a link handy? I'm sure Psilocybin isn't the only one coming back and would like some general updates of changes.

I had forgotten about that one. I'm going to sticky this for the first few weeks.

I completely forgot we had left the other one up as a sticky. We don't need them both.
