Credos

Postby kabuto202 » Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:28 am

Haven't played in forever. Saw Credos, looked at wiki. Still have questions cause I have small brain.

Do you get the Credo benefits when you initially spend the LP for it, or when you finish the quest for it?

Any Credos considered to be "traps" and not worth it?

Dont spend LP on Credo until later. Gotta complete the quest and the tasks are RNG, some of them requiring difficult to find items for solos. Give yourself more time to look through here and get more details. I've been gone a while too but once thing I do remember is being told when I last played was to wait on Credo till you get a comfortable homestead down. Those points could go towards putting down a big enough claim before someone comes along will ill intent.

Credos can be very useful, but it's best to have a decently developed character before starting them. For example, if you want to take hunter you better be able to kill low-tier animals pretty easily or it'll just be a waste.

No real trap credos, all of them are worth it to certain playstyles but a few that are a bit tricky is gardener/farmer(easy but takes quite a while to do), nomad(extreme long distance travel) and quarryman early-game(requires access to many cave levels).

If you're going to go down the credo path, better make sure you have a strong plan. The more you do, the harder the next ones are to complete. Some of them are considered critical for PvP. Some are pretty obvious if you're going to specialize in a roll like farmer, miner, or blacksmith. A couple are just useful to everyone.

Some are tedious. Word is if you're going to include fishing, it's best to get it out of the way early so you have to face as few fishing quests as possible.

Another question on this topic, do Credos increase the relevant attributes or act as a bonus like equipment? IE, if I get Foraging. Will my exploration go from 10-> 20 and then cost 2100 LP per level? Will my perception increase the required food event value all my attributes?

Yes, but after that starting forager asap is a real net positive

And they increase attributes permanently, not a bonus like equipment
