Has anyone been able to mine one of these yet? If so, care to share what they hold?

Pretty sure that's a Sodalite pillar, a type of new stone. Also nobody has a pickaxe so nobody can mine them yet.

Yeah, I guess it's too early for pickaxes. Though you never know with H&H players, some are fanatic.

Unless someone has already gotten a minehole to L2 and found coal, we're still waiting on tar kilns to finish their first run... should be tomorrow, maybe Tuesday.

You'll know an ice pillar, as when you first see one, you'll get the experience for it. Also, they're pretty much only found in snow biomes.
