Visitor Buff Dispelling

Is it still possible to dispell the visitor debuff by going into a cellar or cave thats on the claim?

If you exit the claim you lose it.

Right, but i specifically remember cellars and caves not being a part of claims, therefore getting rid of the buff very easily. Is that still the case?

Cellars are part of the house, so that shouldn't work.

Caves, when not claimed, would.

Been trying to look it up in the patch notes as I recall something was changed sometime many months ago, but right now i'm just not finding a specific answer.

You are right with the houses acting funky at one point, but I think that was fixed. I'm just not finding it. The mineholes, caves, etc. were an issue because they didn't give the flag to begin with, and claims only worked on one level at the time. Now village and realm claims can be extended down, so if there is a level exit there, you don't lose the flag if the claim was extended.

Otherwise, everything is working as is intended that I'm aware. There might be some hidden exploit somewhere.

I see, thanks for the help man. I heard about this from someone who hasnt actively played in a bit so it must have just been outdated information.

it may be. Bugs are found and patched all the time. New exploits are still found from time to time. Better to be sure of your setup so that people can't make holes in your defenses.

Make sure you read the new w11 changes for the visitor and gates, though. It will make a difference in how base design works, even if just in some details.
