tar kilns nerfed?

so ive had 2 tar kilns burning away since about halfway through the first day, and theyre still going. were tar kilns massively nerfed or are mine just bugged? they are producing tar, like ALOT more tar than im used to with currently ~15L, but 5 days for them seems more than a little excessive. with that being said, we desperately need a better way to make coal, or something else to fuel fordges with, as 3-5 days in between mining trips is hellish to say the least.

iirc, some woods burn longer than others. Pine produces a ton of tar compared to other species as well.

As to "3-5" days between trips: Make multiple kilns. Fill/light one per day (or more for bigger villages) until your first is harvested and then make a cycle.

if you didnt light your 10 q6 tar kilns 2 hours in to the world are you even trying

mine finished a few hours ago, A -> S yours and you can see how long they have left.

oh god youre right. thats exactly what i used was pine blocks, because there were like 8 pine trees in my claim. i somehow completely forgot about that. but still going on 4 days, and ATM they are only 71% done. thank god i can at least check that. seems a bit excessive, given the massive size of a tar kiln and how huge a claim you have to have to have room for anything else with more than 2 of them.
