Early mining

Does anyone know what is the best way to mine without any kind of mine support ? Also best way to get wax early if anyone knows , mainly for making a mine hole. Thanks in advance !

prospect so you know where to mine first then pray the gods the first cave wall isn't a cave in , then play minesweeper.
for wax candleberries in swamp

Very, very carefully. With practice you can do it almost free of cave-ins, but there are never any guarantees.
