Average marksmanship/quality to take on different animals?

I don't wanna get my shit kicked in :(

What kind of stats do I need to safely hunt all the different animals of the hearthlands?

This is going to sound kind of stupid, but you either need none of the stats or all of the stats. With boat cheese/reaggroing, you can kill a bear with 10mm and a q10 sling. On land doing everything perfectly there's still a chance the critter aggros you, so you have to have enough stats to handle that or prepare for the inevitable stomping at some point. Which leads you back to water for a safe escape route, at which point you might as well just boat cheese entirely.

MM hunting is in a frustrating place right now. Above issues aside, your ammo is effectively a hard cap on the animal quality which is also brutal.

Ammo softcaps the animal every time it is hit. Attacks cap it to survival. (From what I understand, this is only with animals that attack back. Punch a chicken to death and it's not capped much like if a fox or snake killed it.)

Ammo has been a rule since... start of w10, I think it was? The melee rule is as of the start of this world.
