Rustroot not showing direction?

Wasted 8 doses running around randomly but i could have sworn rustroot showed the direction of minerals? Am i just so far away from anything that it wont show? Please help

Yes. Lower quality extract is quite bad and will give you a very small range. Find yourself some higher quality water before you make it.

Q10 rustroot has a range of like 10 tiles. Q20 has a range of 30ish, Q30 like 50.

Anything over Q30 and it sees too far.

It does show the direction. Make sure you're not standing on a slope; the indicator can be 'inside the slope' and not be visible to you. (Amber client's 'disable terrain elevation' feature helps with this.)

Not always. There has to be an ore in the rustroot range (which depends on q) or there will be no direction shown.
