Keep mining or am I SOL?

Did some prospecting around for something other than Cassiterite, and found a "vein" of Chalcopyrite, however after tunneling in, this is my discovery.

Should I keep digging deeper, or did I just get fucked by the ore gods?

as long as you understand how to play minesweeper, just mine away and see what you find. i usually find viens around other viens of the same type, so maybe youll be lucky like me in that regard.

ive found a lot of veins that are literally like 5 tiles and once you dig those 5 you dont get another prospecting hit on that same area when you try again so... YMMV.

Alright well I mined out that tile, and prospected above again and it's still saying there is some there. So I guess I'll keep digging.

Edit; It seems its leading exactly to the tile I mined out. Could it just be leading to what was a vein at one point, or does the rustroot never lie?

After tunneling around like a sperg for the past hour or two I have been unsuccessful at locating the vein. What gives?

I sure have been. I found the stray tile. A total of 2 tiles in that whole area.
