W11 archery

Newbie here :)

Did damage from arrow/bows decreased in W11? In older posts I'm reading "10 MM, q10 bow, q10 arrow 150 dmg!". But I'm dealing 12-20 dmg, with bit better stats/items. Missing something?

What's best hunting strategy early game? Seems shooting boar / running with punches won't work, coz he can agro back now.

Always could aggro back. It's one of the risks. That's why the recommended strategy has always been just to use melee, primarily unarmed combat. Use a melee finisher if you have one.

Archery is unfortunately fairly weak early game, it does get a bit stronger late and mid though

Currently I just throw rocks at my prey until they run away and try to aggro them again with mercy -> attack provoking. Shits on their quality, but takes less time than loading a clunky arrow shot. You can also just punch them while they flee if it's a boar or badger for instance. Perception and Marksmanship levels help a lot with that.

agreed, this world MM/perc play a more role in damage though.
nothing wrong with it though. it makes you have to go for the skills if you wanna be an archer, unlike last world where you just needed some perc and high Q bow/arrow

Formulas are rarely reported by the devs. We usually have to math it out or get them on a good day and weasel it out of them.
