Raiding beehvies

Postby DauntlessGolem » Wed Feb 13, 2019 2:16 am

Alright so even with the nerfs, i can't seem to raid a beehive still. I can kill bees just fine, but every time i kill a bee and raid the nest a new swarm pops up. Did this until my health couldn't take it anymore, and now bee larvae to show for it. Other than trying to find an empty nest(too rng dependent), or having multiple people (don't got those) how are you guys raiding these solo?

To clarify, i raid the nest, kite beeswarm that spawns and kill it, raid nest again and repeat. I just get trapped in a loop of infinite bees.

+1, not that it will matter anyway.

With the latest update, I've noticed raiding beehives has been made significantly harder.

I'm also a hermit and I never had any issues with doing beehives on my character(s), but I've now killed over 36 bee swarms from single beehives as they continuously respawn and pump out more and more swarms each tick.

If I had a guess, the devs accidentally increased the amount of swarms that spawn to a number above 36 instead of reducing them.

IDK what you guys are doing, but I have a cupboard full of bee larvaes without killing any beeswarm and without any help from alts or other ppl.

How do you deaggro the bees to do that? Seems like useful info for the thread.

I think he means the most obvious strategy. Try a beehive, if there are bees coming out of it - retreat to the water and go to the next beehive. Not all beehives actually spawn bees (at least that's how it was before the patch).

They don't spawn every time you raid at all pre patch too. Seems strange if it's per hive now. You could kill, raid, and sometimes get lucky (maybe 1/10?).

Seems like an odd mechanic atm.

git gud and keep trying, the only limit is your own mind!

I have like 8 or so larvas already, although I just raided some bees on my way

stop. killing. the. bees. agro them with an alt, run a little bit away, then raid with your other alt or main and GTFO fast. if there is a nearby place you can enter, do so and wait a minute for them to de agro.

Best way to raid a Bee hive?

Postby Thatguyintheback100 » Thu Feb 14, 2019 3:22 am

I tried once and i was just infinitely swarmed but that was with me running and looping back like you do for an ant hill.

My stats are 24 strength, 15 agility, 12 unarmed.
