How do I find a Chestnut Tree?

Been searching for hours in biomes the ring of brodgar says they grow in, save for beech grove since I can't seem to find that biome, can anyone confirm a biome where one is in world 11?

The wiki isn't exactly right when it comes to what biomes things spawn in. If you're not finding them where you've looked, expand your search. If you're not using a custom client that will highlight specific trees, you might try grabbing Amber or one of the others that has that function.

I took a whirpool out of desperation, and found a biome called rootbosk? And there were tons of chestnut trees there. just a shame it seems to be two plus hours from where I camped.

Amber (it highlights chosen tree species on the minimap) or other clients + whirlpools. My island doesn't have flint boulders, so I grabbed a whirlpool and found it on the random continent it linked. For plants, the biomes come in clusters that can be quite large. If you're not on the massive continent good chance you might not have it on your island at all.

You have to find leafpatch or beechgrove biome for that tree

North Eastern continent has plenty chestnut trees. And I can confirm at least one whirlpool )

I saw a lot of chestnuts on the south continent, too, when I was wandering around down there.

On the hunt for strawberries now, but that seems to be harder in that it requires a lot of perception to even be seen.
