I was told that after you use soap on an infected sore it will not grow anymore, true or false? Cause i call bollocks on this one.

This is false. Infected sores will grow as normal.
The main reason soap is "good" for dealing with infections is because mid game you will have excessive amounts of q60+ meat, which can be made into soap. This system existed before opium, which is infinitely better at curing infections. Right now soap is just a waste of time.

It might be good to have a couple of lower quality soap on hand in case your infections start to get out of hand (size of infection is getting to be greater than current number of HHP or some other metric you want to use).

Sleeping in a bed may or may not help. That's up to you. It will certainly accelerate the frequency of updates, so it could get out of control overnight, or actually heal up a little faster.

Keeping your energy up may help healing. I've not seen anything official about it, but it seems to be a common wisdom. It might be completely wrong, but if it doesn't help, it's not hurting much, either.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
