Destroying a house

So my base is established and I find myself with the need to reorganize it. I built a few to many houses and now wish to destroy the homes. Problem is I can’t seem to do it from the standard destroy with out killing my energy bar. What is a realistic way to destroy houses?

Still destroys your energy bar. Doesn't wreck as bad.
