If I make a Knarr?

I was curious about some things if someone could enlighten me.

1. How much faster is a knarr with 10 q vs 40q compared to a rowboat?

2. Can others engage and knock me out whilst piloting my knarr?

3. If above #2 is true, then can my i use my knarr to tele to dock while safe (like the hearth fire safe tele whilst knocked)

4. How tough is a knarr compared to people just trying to destroy it to sink your ship?

1. 10q is exactly as fast as a rowboat. Read the wiki.

2. Yes, of course. You can also die after that KO even if you do not have the rage skill, if the attacker knows how to pvp.

3. Yes, but only when you are not in a fight situation (you do not have the combat interface on-screen). If someone better at PvP engages you, you can not teleport knarr untill the fight is over (and it is over only if you win or die). In the rarely ever heard of case if he does not know how to kill you and you get KO alive and you do not have rage skill, then you can port yourself to safety and leave the knarr with all its cargo behind. It will take you less time to rebuild the knarr and all it had than to recover after death, so loosing only the knarr should make you happy, not sad.

4. IDK. Nobody I can think of would sink the prize of their victory, the reason they actually attacked you and did not just say hi!. That being your knarr and your personal inventory.

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

1. I did some tests in w9, and it was like:

Well, as it's not much left to do I did some testing yesterday. It took 27 seconds for our 63q knarr to cross the nearest lake. The same trip in boat takes 40 seconds. So, it's just 1,5 times faster for 63q, though it feels much more. :) I might have messed up the timing a bit, but I don't think it's too much. And judging that knarr's theoretical limit is exactly 2 times faster than boat my measurements look to me not too much off...


4. You need siege equipment to damage the knarr (at least if that was not changed). So it is quite safe from that point of view.

you cannot destroy a moving target, and siege equipment is required to damage it anyway
