Chop damage

Postby kwagam » Thu Feb 21, 2019 8:15 am

Hey,

I have 25 str, lv 14 bronze sword. Using chop on a fox, with ~60 green opening does around 25-30 dmg. Shouldn't this be much higher? According to damage formula base dmg is around 140 dmg * 0,6 = over 70.

What am I missing? Some natural armor? But that much?

This.

Here's the patch notes with the technical explanation of openings and damage. (Note: the armor details were later changed in another update.)

Thx, makes sense :)

EDIT: In my particular situation - I found second solution to my problem. While fighting I was holding my... axe. And my sword in belt. So pro tip - effectiveness of sword increases if you are actually using/holding it.
