Tar a rowboat?

How exactly does this work?

Tried clicking the bucket of tar onto boat. Tried clicking barrel of tar onto boat.

Do I need to make a brush or something?

you need 2.5 liters of tar to tar a boat

You might need more tar in Your bucket. Check the wiki how much is needed.

I have problems with this too on the wiki says you need 2.5 L but literally no mater what you do like using a bucket or the barrels the tar doesn't apply to the rowboat

perhaps it has been tarred already, the visuals of the boat don't change as far as i know.

No, they don't change, and this is the only explanation I can think of, too.

Best test: try putting it in the water to see if it floats. (It won't let you put it in or you can't board one if not tarred.)

If the rowboat hasn't been tarred yet, the only other thing that might block is if that toon hasn't discovered tar specifically yet maybe?

Nope even if you do a new rowboat in any given time the boat ask you for the tar and you can put it on the water without problem.

I've tarred a few boats already this world.... 2.5L of tar get it in a bucket, right click on boat...bam..

I assume the issue is that you have the tar in a barrel, and you load it into the boat instead when you right-click the boat.

Solution: lift the BOAT instead, and right-click the barrel of tar.
