Nidbanes: How long is "a day"

There is now a slight, somewhat random, delay before a Nidbane starts pursuing its quarry. About a day.

A game day? 24 hours?

Also pretty annoying that the nidbane just stands in the center of the alter. I'd rather is spawn off to the side for a bit because I want to put silly hats on them
