Lawspeak properly?

How to do things such as appoint chieftain, assign permissions, check authority on village? They are not under the government tab in the bottom right...

Bottom of that window, you see 3 buttons: buddies/kin, village, realm. The last two are greyed out if you're not a member of one or the other. (Simply living in a realm's borders doesn't grant you membership, but you still enjoy the bonuses.)

To manage a player, select them and assign a color. To manage permissions, select the color and select (or deselect) perms.

FYI Chieftains and the Herd are a Legacy thing and no longer exist. (Although i'd love for them to make a comeback.)
