How do i catch a pomfret?

It requires entrails according to the wiki, but the game wont let me use entrails?

What rod are you using? The Bushcraft rod uses "fresh" bait like entrails, insects, and such. The Casting rod uses lures like wood fish, rock lobster, etc.

The wiki isn't update with which lures that work, don't worry. I saw a Pomfret a few hours ago with a rock lobster, I think. But it was like 2%.

When it comes to fishing wiki is really far behind (for obvious reasons). It is more or less accurate only about ocean/freshwater fish division (and even that is not entirely true, some fish lives in both). The rest is just a starting point.

Anything other than eel and salmon? As far as I'm aware, that's the only two.

@SnowWiggles: Used to be we had a very well researched fishing page. It wasn't entirely accurate, but it was reliable enough that anyone could learn the system easily. Fishing isn't the same as it used to be before. Not only do you have all the variables, but fish spawn differently across the map. One place is good for salmon, two grids over, and you don't catch a single one... kind of like actual fishing.

I think (almost sure but have no proof) I saw a pike in the ocean too.

The problem with fishing is also the amount of factors affecting it. I am not that pedantic to do it thoroughly enough to feel I can share the data, and I guess I am not alone in that.

Exactly, and it's going to vary world to world, even location to location in the same world, so there's no point in filling the wiki with useless data.
