Most wood per tree?

It's time for me to get planting but I'm scared to waste my best materials on a tree that will eventually give me two blocks and a twig

kings oak is the best all around wood per tree 200 blocks or 80 boards. there are other trees that perform better byt they yeild less logs per tree. like the bird cherry which is 88 blocks per log but you only get 1 log

In my opinion, the number of branches, logs, boards, etc. has not changed (see table at the end; the initial question was about this).

Pine, if you need tar; trees with desired textures and so on. The question "what should I plant?" is abstract in essence.
