What crops aren't impacted by bees?

Postby Sevenless » Tue Mar 05, 2019 6:22 pm

Much to my surprise hemp doesn't seem to be despite it having (to my knowledge) flowers and buds. I know the straw crops aren't as well. Any others I'm wasting my skeps on?

Pepper at least, unless I missed a patch.

I think topic title should be ''which crops aren't impacted by bees?''

Related question - is wax/honey production impacted (or not) by those crops that aren't sped up by bees?

No, they'll have no effect from what I can tell. I grew just barley in my fields for a week~ and noticed my skeps slowed down their production.

So as a working list we have: hemp, barley, wheat, pepper.

I remember last world testing 2 skeps in my wine/cucumber area and those skeps were much slower to produce honey/wax. That could have to do with the speed of grapes growing. So are the vine crops affected by skeps?

Cannabis doesnt produce floral nectar, it is wind pollinated not bee pollinated. The bees are not attracted to the aroma.

I'm not a farmer this world, but if memory serves, peas are. I think the other's have been mentioned above.I'm thinking of an older thread from w10.

You're right. Crops that aren't pollinated do not produce wax or honey. Skeps will self-produce q10 wax and honey over time even if not pollinating anything.
