How do people travel to other continents? Doing it manually would take hours. I assume most worldwide traders are taking a shortcut of some sort.
Do vortexes work the same way as they did last world?

Vortexes do indeed work as previous. With an alt or two, it's easy to WP hop around until you land close to your target.
