Planted Tree not over q10

Postby Thatguyintheback100 » Sun Mar 10, 2019 9:14 pm

I planted 2 apple trees and I believe the soil was roughly q23, apple core was q10, water q15, and pot was q19

I harvested one of the apples and noticed they were still q10!

Is there a mechanic I'm missing or is it a random chance to have a higher quality?

Stunted shouldn't give fruits.

Won't the players survival ability play into this?

that is actually not true, if the tree got stunted late in the growth progress it would actually give seeds and all other resources.

I've noticed this myself with some trees. They need to reach a certain growth stage to have fruit.

Maybe the person that potted the seed, but not when the tree is planted in the ground. And it'd be farming if a softcap is happening.

Looking over all this I'm fairly certain my table was q14, and my farming and survival were in the 30s when I planted them.
As for stunted only one of the 2 apple trees was finished so I'll check on the other one and see if that's different

edit. Alright the first apple tree was stunted and bore fruit despite that. My second apple tree is q18 so I'll just wait and make even better ones later
