Palisade next to cliff?

This isn't very specific, how can I make sure I can put my pali there? I'm putting part of mine right against a cliff.

As with slopes, if you can place a palisade corner post you can place the palisade extension there. Place each and ever tile to be sure.

Try first with roundpole fence if want to be certain, they have exact same mechanics I believe

Pave your palisade line out. As you go trial place a pali corner post in any spot you have doubts about. Then you can drop a palisade without stress.

Rub some dirt on the side of the cliff. Remove the cliff. No more issues.

Roundpole fence has same requirements regarding slope and ground type as a palisade, but keep in mind that it needs less clearance toward water.
So while it might work to check around cliffs you will want to test near water by trying to place a palisade cornerpost on the tiles you plan to build.
