Can you get PVP one shotted? Killed?

Can you get one shotted by someone if your at full hitpoints say 200hp and full 200hhp?

Not really. the way combat works means they have to land at least a few hits to be able to do any real damage.

It is possible to kill someone without rage in PvP. it isn't easy, though lack of knowledge from the defender makes it easier for the attacker.

If you're living in a rough neighbourhood the trick to not worrying about pvp death is to run around with low SHP. The amount of HHP they can deal is based off the SHP they damage. So if you're at 100shp/200hhp/200mhp it's impossible to one shot you. I've heard it becomes pretty trivial to oneshot someone if they're running 80-90% SHP/HHP. So keep your SHP as low as you can run comfortably, your HHP as high as possible.

Set up a claim on an alt to leave tresspass scents to remove SHP to hit your desired value for going out and about.

So if max damage you can get hit is your max hp value, does it mean your current shp+hhp needs to be less than your max hp to cause an attack to kill you?

99*.6 + 200*.6 = 179, so 100 SHP with 200 MHP is still enough to die to concussion 1/3rd of the time if they guess your health perfectly, but that's pretty unlikely. The best way to remove your SHP without doing HHP damage is either bows, or evicting yourself. THAT SAID due to recent changes this exploit "sorta" doesn't work anymore. It's pretty trivial to kill low MHP chars even from 1 SHP/full HHP.

I would point out in 99% of all situations it's drastically easier to run away from people than it is to chase them. Likewise, it's much harder to max cleave somebody who's not standing still, so there's a good chance if you get got while running, it'll take less HHP damage in the process. If you're concerned about a boi stabbing you to death, your best bet is probably to learn to run away semi-competently, as opposed to learn to use yucky exploits.

Ah my bad. For some reason I though concussion was 30% of MHP. Where's the variation you're talking about coming from? I'm not super up on wound math.

As to running away vs exploit to counter exploit, one is a skill that requires training and interaction with another competant player to learn well. The other takes a minor bit of prepwork. One is indeed better long run, but this is the noobie forum and "quick+effective+easy to learn" is gonna win out.

Concussion is random between 5-20%.
The max HHP damage one can do is equal to 60% of the SHP damage their attack does, capped by MHP. So, the strat is to hit somebody until they're almost out of SHP, then open them 100 and cleave them for (hopefully) more than their total HP, doing 60% of their HHP.

Example for a 100 SHP/HHP/MHP target:
Cleaving for 60 would bring them down to 40/64/100
Cleaving for 100 after that would bring them down to 0/4/100
Concussion then does 5-20 damage, bringing them down to ded

Having 34 SHP/full HHP previously made this impossible:
Cleaving for 33 brings them down to 1/81(80? I think it rounds down)/100
Cleaving for 100 brings them down to 0/21/100
Concussion then does 5-20, meaning they'd survive for between 1-16 HHP

BUT, like I said, this sorta got fixed recently. Most people going around killing hapless hermits are going to just kill you while you're down by other means. Being easier to KO(low SHP, for example) makes you easier to kill overall... Unless you're bad at running to the point you may as well be standing still, or the person ganking you is also clueless.
