Dead Animals?

Today, I found a moose and a bear that had been killed without their stuff being taken from them. I could totally skin and butcher them. Are these natural occurences or are TOP level players just leaving them there for some reason? Is this a natural occurance?

That reason is they were probably low quality. Could also be that someone fought them, got them to very low hp and they fled, bled out, and the hunter couldn't find them.

I believe wolves will kill basically anything that moves when they spawn during a full moon, could be that?

Bleeding to death is unrealistic, since they chicken out quite quickly and have a large health pool.

People leaving them is possible, but unrealistic. Especially on the bear and at the current state of the world.

i also think wolves, i've seen them kill a moose then found a trail of cadavers backtracking. bears would not be left without butchering, not even low quality ones.
