Do you guys know if the Explo*Perception score for Stalagoomba is the same as the Stalagoom ?
Cause my miner is needing to catch one (perhaps my fisherman will be tasked to smelt iron later...).

It is not. It so far hasn't been determined because it shows up on the map as "stalagoom" and doesn't reveal until picked. However, there's been at least one report of someone that couldn't see a stalagoom that ended up turning into the stalagoomba.

It's rare enough, anyway, that I'd take Burinn's advice.

They are pretty rare but not impossible to find. This world I have both picked a stalagoom that turned into a stalagoomba (on L3), and seen a trio of stalagoomba just randomly wandering about on L4.

Ive only ever seen them spawn on their own, not from picking stalagooms, didnt know that was a thing

Rare enough that almost* any other quest will be faster.

I've almost completed miner, spent many hours underground, picked a lot of stalagooms. Just found my first one yesterday.
