Good food for grinding Will?

Postby NeoBasilisk » Sun Mar 31, 2019 1:32 am

I don't expect there is something quite as convenient as cavebulbs for Psyche, but what are some good options? Also, I'm looking for more mid-range options. I don't have cheese yet, and I'm not interested in trying to kill whales or trolls.

If you don't care too much, Onion salads are very easy to mass produce and offer both will+1/+2 (35% of total FEPS so a 1 in 3 chance of getting +1/2 if only eating these)

They also offer charisma, perception, and constitution which can all be useful enough. The downside is they have a relatively poor FEP/Hunger ratio.

https://certainly-not-a-cat.github.io/cookbook/ is a very good tool,

at the bottom you may type in "wil 40%-min" and it will show all the foods that give 40% or more of their total feps in will+1 or will+2

Oddly enough, stalagooms by themself have the 3rd highest FEP/Hunger ratio for will, second to strawberries in cream and the marshmallow autumn steak..

Onion Salad;
(Turnip, Leek);

Autumn Steak;
(Adder, Black Truffle, Marshmallow) |
(Adder, Black Truffle, Beetroot Leaf) |
(Adder, Black Truffle, Stinging Nettle);

Wonderful Wilderness Wurst;

Thanks for the tip on the cookbook link. I find the variable ingredients incomprehensible at this point.

Two bird skewer or what that was is really good as well if you make it with turnips.
For the variable food, it helps to find out what stat the variable ingredients give. For example, turnips gives will, so generally food with turnips also give will.
And then some foods have base feps that they give or something.
You may have to experiment around a bit.
I am not sure if it is a good thing that the food system is as complicated as it currently is. (Finding good food for certain stats is really difficult)

As much as teaching a man to fish is better, I'm gonna give a fish because it's a lot less effort.

Bone marrow, Honey gruel, Millet dream cookies. Variable recipe wise it's pretty hard to get will meats/plants en mass so I've generally ignored them.
