Vanishing food trough

I had 5 food troughs, yesterday, when I came to fill them, one was missing. I live alone so noone could take it, palisade+Vclaim on everything, no scents(who would even want to walljump and steal a food trough lol), it just disappeared like it took a decay hit or something. Any ideas what could be the cause?

I have seen fleeing animals escape through visitor gates into a walled area, happily destroying stuff they deem as in the way there...

Other (though unlikely) scenario could be that you ran out of authority over night, decay hit occured, you logged in and completed curios refilled authority.

I got one local res on my village claim, I heard they drain auth, how much do they drain? Other than that my auth is always full.
Before that I actually lost a barrel of tar in a similar way, it just wasn't there, there wasn't much tar in it so I didn't really care, but it's still missing along with a food trough lol

You also might have set certain permissions on the white group, which is everyone.

Do you have a mine hole with an open gate that is not visitor? Sounds like you have a thief that either feels a bit guilty and only takes items he needs or is hoping you will not notice or blame yourself.

Wow, such a pro tip! Totally solves the problem that food troughs can disappear at any moment leaving animals to starve and diminish their breeding capabilities. You must be really good at hafen, will you teach me your ways?

I had same problem, long story short you need 2k + lp/h income
make few alts and monitor village authority, you need at least 15k to prevent other from taking your things away

That is good info. Wiki says if village starts with 125k auth and if auth drops below 50k anyone can take items. Those numbers are 30k and 15k now, correct?
