Claim Bonds: How do they work?

Perhaps I missed an update where this was mentioned and I don't see anything relevant to this in the tooltip but could anyone who knows please explain to me how study LP is disbursed upon login between multiple bonds now? It seems like the presence in some of the bonds on an alt character I fill with curios never seem to be going up but rather only maintaining their current level of presence until a day when I forget to place curios and then they all go down slightly further.
