Tarn Kiln W11 works

Postby vardana » Sat Apr 20, 2019 10:37 am

Hello.
My surprise is so huge that i decided to make new threat.
What happend: i loaded 2 tar kilns(Q45 and Q46) full of random blocks.(q10) After same period of time i collect the coal. There was only 1q difference points in coal (thats correct) and EXTREME quantity difference: one gives 160 of coal, and second one 30.
0.o
It was happend some time ago, there was a quite a lot difference but i havent payed attention to that before, bc i thought that i made mistake.
Im a new player (4 weeks),Wiki doesnt said anything about thats difference, but maybe now, after 10 years of playing most of wiki-writers are bored of this and its stoped to be actually/correct.
Wiki says: Each block becomes 2 coal, one board equals 1,5 coal. (80 block max)
And you need to load at least 1/2 of tarn kiln. Then it could be more difference that 2x times difference
One full tarn kiln need to give 160 coal then, but its imposible to start another one tarn kiln with 15 blocks, isnt it?
There is nowhere write that you can lost the coal, what could be the reason? Im checking this 4th time... i got only 190coal rigth now...
Maybe some block (fruit trees) are shit and doesnt turn coal?

Where is my coal! Thief! Thief!

Ps. It was morning, i wasnt drunked xD
Please share your observation.

Type of wood used determines amount of tar - I vaguely remember having read that also affects amount of coal, but I may be wrong on that.

Simple solution to get more coal is to build more tar kilns.

Amount of tar is another thing, nevermind about it.
I also builded 10 more tarkilns, but its also not about it.
Its about: whats happend: its happend some time, bug, or some new mechanic connected with block types.

Tar amounts are fairly well documented. If the amount of coal can change based on type of block, it's very new. Some of my loads have been pretty random just to make coal early on, and when it was blocks, it was always 160 coal, and 60 when burning boards.

@up: its imposible to start the kiln until its 1/2 block means 40blocks= 80coal.

@upupup you guys talkig about tar(liquid) but its not going about it.

Maybe you loaded boards instead of blocks by accident... Or someone came by and helped himself to a bunch of coal.
