How does a lawspeaker set village permissions?

An incoming prospective village member arrived and entered the village radius before logging out. She is now unable to log in anywhere but her hearth fire some hours journey away, so I would like to change the village permissions so that she can log in, as if it were not claimed, if that is possible.

My lawspeaker only gets the option "Renounce Lawspeaker" when she right clicks the idol, and gets no options when she left clicks it. Government> Village Management does not seem to lead to any place where permissions can be changed in any way.
Permissions are the default. They were not set in any way when the village idol was built and the village was formed.

Looks like it won't work. When I click the box to allow trespassing the message says "Characters in this group logged out prior to this can no longer log back in on the village claim".

That's likely a bug, the message should display when you clear the trespassing permission to make sense. Likely they messed up the test that triggers the message and IIRC that was reported a while ago.

Assign the character to a group, allow trespassing for that group, login on village grounds should work. In case the character's not yet oathed give white trespass.

Or could it be that there also is a stake claim, or possibly a field cairn, where that character logged out?
