I've always been bad at planning, so perhaps some people could drop some examples of their layouts?

You might be better browsing the screenshot threads for ideas. A lot of people don't like sharing locations, myself included.

You can also get some ideas from just checking out a lot of the player generated streams and content, though your mileage may vary on that.
