Is there a way to decrease linseed cost without too much detail loss?

Being good with an image editing program helps. Upload the photo you want to be looked at, i'll see if i can tweak it - It's a slow night

You can reduce the amount of lines/detail or ignore areas depending on what you're trying to paint (banner, shield, have different shapes and it's best to make item-specific versions of the same image). You can always harvest more flax but you have to keep in mind the huge limitations of a wine press.
