is pearl the universal currency

They'd be better if I could actually fucking find them. I've found legit two pearls this world after boiling since start. I just got an alt to try boiling to see if there's any difference but I've gotten nothing.

I believe gold/silver is the universal currency once people have started to find it. Until then (in the early game), it's either wax with pearls/gems being used for currencies. Then you've got subscription tokens, but those are generally being bought for much lower prices than they're worth imo.

Pearls are prolly worth more than 25 pts as well, given they are more rare than silver and gold with the shitty "pool" system in place.
