Where can I find silverfir?

I have been looking for days across my continent (east) for silverfir, I have yet to find it (obviously). Since the ROB wiki isn't up to date with some of the newer and exotic items, I was wondering what biomes are more likely to have this tree.

it's on redplain, probably some others
