Catching Herring (Fishing Credo)

Greetings,

do you guys have info about the different fish and how catching them?
is there somewhere a list of salt/see fish and the according Pole equipment and day/night time?

I am searching for herring. well cant find ocean...deep,shallow i tried different equipment...no result...I cant even find a spot with 1% chance.

Herring is a saltwater fish ... that tells us you need to fish for it in the ocean (you may cancel the credo quest)

You know about what section of the world you're in? You might be able to find yourself on the world map: http://odditown.com/haven/map/

I know the mid to north part of the west continent has a terrible riverway system that only gets you to the ocean in a couple of places (and not very easily at that). Parts of the southern continent have little in the way of waterways.
