Largely depends on the size of the initial bite damage. I've seen bites of a couple points raise up to 60+ on my own characters. Bigger bites certainly didn't put new-ish characters at deaths door. I've heard of people logging out with bites and dying overnight, though. Push more CON and heal other damage as best as possible, and unless you're low on HHP, you should be fine.

Yeah was worried cause of other wounds that almost had my HHP halved...
had 4 bites and the biggest was at 13 , reached 25 - 26 and now seems to be going down again... well I hope the nerve damage is not too higher than that and kill me later

I saw a bite hit 100 when they were first introduced, but I think they've been toned down a bit since.
