How to maek farm

Hello forumdwellers,

I seem to have run into a bit of a problem, a problem I thought I would never encounter or come to the forums with.
However I guess besides some funky shanghai shiver flu running amok, weirder things ARE possible;
My damn crops dont grow anymore!

It has been a while since I played but I remember that I had to follow these steps to get crops
1. Get seeds
2. Plough fields
3. Plant seeds in fields
4. Wait a few days/week and have crops
5. Succes! I can now make delicious salads

It all goes horribly wrong after step 3, nothing happens and I mean NOTHING
Not even a leaf or twig popping out of the ground I tell you. The ploughed fields that have seeds in them are unavailable to receive new seeds so I know they're there.
Should I just wait longer, need more seeds? I asked around my neighbours but they already seem to have all types of crops and I have none, NONE. I feel left out bros and brodettes.
What's going on!? Am I missing a step, do I have to add water? Are there fairies or magical moles nibbling away at my seeds, do I need a scarecrow? I want my salad..

There should be a visible change to the field when you plant. What you show ss a only plowed field with no plants.
