Ents and Golems

Seen plenty of pics of them. Does anybody know if they're natural spawns like animals or are caused?

My first thought was they're angry questgivers that sprout up when you've been detected to have killed more than 1-2.

Could just only spawn on certain islands or something. The golems resemble the new funky rock formations i've seen on some large skargard spots.

Also, anybody know how strong they are or if they're hostile?

I saw an ent day 1, didn't seem to really do much but walk around. Not hostile, as far as I could tell, but I didn't attack it 'cuz I was too scared

Heard that ents should give xp event but it was broken and jorb had to fix it. It's just like a dryad.
