Can't make wooden shovel?

Hey sorry everyone, but I'm fairly new to the game.
I just can't make a wooden shovel! I have everything I need (2 boards, 3 blocks, carpentry skill) and when I have the materials in my inventory, the shovel doesn't pop up to craft.
Is anyone else having this issue? Thank you!

has your character personally created those blocks and boards to discover the materials?

The blocks yes, the boards no. I realized this might be the issue after some reading so I went to get bones (for bonesaw). I killed a hedgehog and got bone material from it but I'm getting the same issue. The saw just doesn't pop up.

Never mind! RIGHT after hitting submit I went and gathered more bough and now the bonesaw shows up. Thank you for the inspiration!!

you must discover all parts of each thing. Sounds like you're missing tree bough now.
