It doesn't has that line in the description but I recently noticed both the fact I'm getting it more easily as wound in general AND the fact that it would heal by itself without the use of any medicine...

So maybe something changed and the description needs to be updated

Just use gauze.

Gauze is easy for a fairly new player. When spring comes, get a clover, skill animal husbandry, have ax mounted, attract and then shear a sheep (don't use rope before shearing)
Make a loom, I think skill first aid, make gauze. Open "{Health & Wounds" display, click on gauze in your inventory. rt-click the gauze on your injury & gauze will occupy the top rt slot on your head. Day or two later, gauze becomes a bloody rag when it is finished.

Leeches are easier, but take quite a bit of personal time to manage (leeches will be back in spring).
