Catching Birds on a kicksled

Since I can't really test this out without travelling miles with my kicksled, I need to know if I can catch a mallard while chasing it with a kicksled for a quest.

I had no trouble to pickup things while on sled but mallards usually spawn on ocean beach so it might be still barely doable solo on kicksled.

You won't be able to on snow ground. You will on ice but that's tricky to get going. I tried for awhile earlier and ended up abandoning the quest. I imagine it's easiest with another char to help or a horse.

If you just need the meat you can chase them onto land and use a sling, if not you'll have to chase them onto ice to be fast enough
