Container sorting

Is there any way to sort whole container like cupboard? I mean by category and quality, ex. I've got mixed meats of boar, fox and beaver in a single container. I want to sort it like boar (q1,2,3,4), fox (q1,2,3,4) and beaver (q1,2,3,4).

I remember that it was available in some client in legacy version few years ago, like little buttons in container's window that after clicking was sorting whole container. I was searching for it in Amber, Purus and Ender client nowadays but none of them has it - only slow alternatives like ALT + LMB, SHIFT + Scroll, etc.. Also I was looking here on forum, but with no results :/

Is there any extension to those clients, maybe there is a different client that can do this, or key combination that I don't know about?

It's one of the Amber's features:

Alt + LMB - Transfer identical items between inventory and container/stockpile in ascending order.
Alt + RMB - Transfer identical items between inventory and container/stockpile in descending order.

But how would you like to actually sort them?
What if you have store hats in cupboard not owned by you that disappear when picked up?
What about items that are large like boards or B12s? Even if you had an order where you want them to be in, how to sort them without using extra inventories?
There may or may not be limits in how many items you can pick up and put down in certain time, making especially sorting of inventories with large items slow.
Sorting is a difficult task!
I suppose that you could only sort small and easy items as that is generally what one wants to do.

Best way to get sorting is probably to ask some client developer about it or post a thread in C&I subforum.
