Optimal Farming circle size?

Postby nardyman8501 » Mon May 11, 2020 8:17 pm

I've always seen a lot of farming circles from bigger villages. What's the optimal size? Does it help with wax production? What are the benefits?

Benefit is needing less hives / field that's all.

I hate farms in circles, rectangles are just nicer imo

I agree with the above, rectangles with a width no greater than 26 tiles is ideal.
The least autistic way to explain beehive quantities is: if you want max growth speed add more beehives until the wax is lowerQ than you think it should be. if you want higherQ wax remove beehives until it reaches ((plantQ+beehiveQ)/2)*.95

BeehiveQ will average towards 10 the longer they're around plants that haven't changed a growth stage, so pumpkin waxQ will always be averaged towards 10 several times, whereas you'll need extra hives for things like turnips
