Crop Quality Cap

What has been people's experience with the new node based crop quality? Jorb said it should be a "good while" before it should be noticed, but it seems that most of my seed based crops have capped out around q39/40 for about the last week. My root based plants have been higher, with my beetroots being 57 and kind of hovering around there.

I admit I haven't been methodically testing by spacing crop plantings every 5 hours, which I plan to do next. It just seems like unless the RNG gods hate me, 39 is a pretty low cap.

Carrots did not improve quality during 10+ transplants. How glad we were when she gave +4 quality after a while. It turned out we were just unlucky. Quality 85+ now.

I have turnips over Q120 and carrots over Q110. These crops get replanted most often of course. My grains are between 50 and 70 and still increasing.

Consider that your farming skill level may have an effect. I doubt very much our plot of land has very many quality nodes for so many crops.

How many rolls are you making? For pumpkins I plant 2 plants 3 times daily for several days to increase the odds of quality improvement.
